UPDATE: 5:30 PM March 12

Colton Flasch and Team Saskatchewan's run at the Tim Horton's Brier has come to an end. Brad Gushue and his Wild Card team, who are down Mark Nichols after testing positive for COVID-19, defeated Team Flasch 9-7, after Flasch was leading 7-6 heading into the final end, and Gushue got three points. 

UPDATE: 1:00 PM March 12

Team Flasch and Saskatchewan lost against Team Alberta and Kevin Koe last night 7-2, and will play Wild Card Team Gushue this afternoon at 2:30 in the 3 vs 4 playoff game. Whoever wins moves on to the semi finals, and the loser's run will end at the Tim Horton's Brier in Lethbridge.

UPDATE: 7:00 PM March 11

Team Flasch has moved on in the Tim Horton's Brier after beating Brad Jacobs and Team Northern Ontario 10-3 in Friday afternoon's draw. Flasch will be up against Team Alberta and Kevin Koe. Flasch lost a close game to Koe in the opening game of the Brier for Flasch and Team Saskatchewan 9-8. Win or lose, Flasch will have a chance to make it to the semi finals, as if he wins, the team will go to the 1 vs 2 game, and if he loses, Team Flasch will go to the 3 vs 4 game. 

UPDATE: 12:30 PM March 11

After getting to a blank in the 10th end during their tiebreaker rematch against Team Dunstone, Team Saskatchewan is moving onto the playoff round at the Tim Hortons Brier after a 9-5 win this morning.

Expect a full update as the weekend at the Brier becomes more clear.

The chance for a tiebreaker rematch has come through, as Team Saskatchewan skip Colton Flasch will prepare his team once again for the former Team Saskatchewan, and current wildcard in Team Dunstone at 9:30 this morning from Lethbridge.

In yesterday's match between the two Saskatchewan based rinks, Flasch escaped a back and forth game 9-8 in an extra end to give Team Saskatchewan a 6-2 record, tying the wildcard rink in the Pool A standings to set up this morning's tiebreaker match.

Expect updates over the weekend as the Brier moves into its playoff round.

UPDATE: 10:45 AM March 10

Team Dunstone is coming off its first loss of the round robin yesterday against Team Bottcher and the defending Brier champions Team Canada in an extra end, and will play it's Saskatchewan counterpart Team Flasch this afternoon. The Biggar born skip is coming off a 8-3 win over Team Newfoundland last night at the Brier in Lethbridge. Both teams are very much alive in the playoff race, as Dunstone is 6-1, and Flasch is 5-2. The top three teams get in, and there may be a tie breaker if Flasch can win over Dunstone this afternoon. West Central Online will continue to update Flasch and Dunstone throughout the Brier. 

UPDATE: 2:00 PM March 9

The undefeated streak of Matt Dunstone and his wild card team came to an end this morning, in an exciting matchup with  Brendan Bottcher and the defending Brier champions. Dunstone was down by one with hammer heading into the 10th end, but could not get two for the win, settling for one, and an extra end. Bottcher got his single point with last rock in the extra end, and won 8-7. Dunstone now drops to 6-1 in round robin play with one game remaining against Team Flasch and Saskatchewan tomorrow afternoon.

Speaking of Team Flasch and Saskatchewan, they took care of business this morning, knocking off Team Yukon soundly, 12-3, to up their record to 4-2, good enough for fourth in pool A. The top three teams from pool A and B make it to the playoffs of the Tim Horton's Brier in Lethbridge. 

Team Flasch is on the ice next against Team Newfoundland tonight at 7:30, with the aforementioned game against Team Dunstone at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon.

UPDATE: 6:00 PM March 8

Both Team Dunstone and Team Flasch were victorious at the Tim Horton's Brier this afternoon in Lethbridge. Dunstone beat Team PEI 8-6 to remain perfect, with a 6-0 record.

Meanwhile Team Flasch bounced back with a win over Team Ontario, by a score of 6-3 to raise their record to 3-2.

Dunstone leads pool A with that 6-0 record, and Team Flasch and Saskatchewan sits in fourth.

Both teams will be on the ice tomorrow morning at 9:30, with Team Flasch and Saskatchewan against Team Yukon, and Team Dunstone and his wild card team in a big matchup with the also undefeated, and defending champion, Brendan Bottcher and Team Canada.

In what has been an already successful Tim Horton's Brier up to this point, Saskatchewan's Matt Dunstone, and his wild card team are a perfect 5-0 heading into this afternoon's draw at the Brier in Lethbridge. Team Dunstone got a big win last night against Team Alberta and Kevin Koe, playing a near perfect 9th and 10th end, winning 8-5. The team will be up against Prince Edward Island.

As for Team Saskatchewan and Biggar born skip Dylan Flasch, they are coming off a loss to the defending Brier champions, Team Bottcher, by a score of 8-6, after giving up three in the 9th end, after leading by one. Bottcher then forced Flasch out of rocks in the 10th and final end. The team won earlier on Monday over New Brunswick, 8-4, and are 2-2 heading into this afternoon's matchup with Team Ontario and Glen Howard.
