The Unity Warriors have had a very impressive season up to date, finishing the regular season with a 5-1 record, but are looking for much more than just a decent regular season record in their conference.

Unity will travel to face Shaunavon in a quarter-final match-up on October 28th in an elimination game. Shaunavon finished second overall in their conference with 4 wins and 2 losses, and will be a tough test for the Warriors.

Shaunavon plays in "Conference 2" against teams like Lumsden, Indian Head High School, Maple Creek and Fort Qu' Appelle. Teams like Shaunavon and Indian Head High School will enter the 2A Nine-Man Provincial draw alongside Unity and Delisle who share the same population requirements. Other teams in Conference 2 will enter 3A Nine-Man Provincials.

Pat Orobko, coach of the Unity Warriors, discussed the structure of how provincials work with teams in the region.

"We play in Conference 4 in 9-Man Football and Delisle finished in first while we finished in second. In the conference that we face, Shaunavon is the top 2A Nine-Man team while Indian Head High School is the second team."

To sum up the match-ups, Unity will travel to Shaunavon while Delisle will play at home against Indian Head High School in the quarter-finals.
