RCMP Report – October 18 to October 24, 2022

UNITY REPORTS

  • RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

  • Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

  • Police received a request to keep the peace while Animal Protection Services conducted a wellbeing check on an animal.

  • RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

  • Police received another report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

  • Members are investigating a complaint of harassing communications.

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

  • Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

  • A 41-year-old male from Unity was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle during a traffic stop.

  • Police received a complaint of individuals throwing garbage on the streets and trespassing in residence yards. Members spoke to the subjects of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

  • There were also three false 911 calls, four traffic complaints, two false alarms and one noise complaint.

WILKIE REPORTS

  • RCMP received a complaint of theft of electrical service. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

  • Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members attended but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

  • RCMP received a report of a lost wallet. The wallet was located by the owner.

  • There were also three traffic complaints.

MACKLIN REPORT

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment. A 42-year-old male from Macklin was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, two counts of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm after Members located firearms in the residence.

  • Police received a report of an individual damaging a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP Report – October 11 to October 17, 2022

UNITY REPORTS

  • RCMP received a complaint of trespassing. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

  • Members received a report of a barking dog. Members spoke to the animal owner who agreed to keep the dog indoors.

  • Police received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a complaint of theft of fuel at a local gas station. Members located the subject of complaint who paid for the fuel. No charges were laid.

  • Members received a request to keep the peace while an individual retrieved personal property from a residence.

  • Police received a report of theft of an enclosed trailer from Denzil. The trailer was later recovered in rural area south of Denzil. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • Members made patrols after receiving a complaint of two individuals loitering near a business. The subjects of complaint were not located.

  • Police acted as mediators in a property dispute.

  • CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.

  • RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. This matter is still under investigation.

  • Members received a report of a missing person. The complainant contacted Members to say the subject of complaint had been located.

  • Police received a complaint of a break and enter at a cabin at Gravel Lake. This matter is still under investigation.

  • There were also three traffic complaints.

WILKIE REPORTS

  • RCMP received a complaint of an individual trespassing in a residence yard. Members attended but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival.

  • Police received a report of a missing person. Members contacted the complainant who stated the subject of complaint had been located.

  • Members attended a single vehicle collision near Wilkie. The vehicle driver and vehicle passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to Biggar Health Center by Emergency Medical Services. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. Members attended but the complainant declined to proceed.

  • Police received a report of individuals attempting to steal fuel from a farmyard. Members attended but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • Members received a complaint of a break and enter at a rural farmyard near Wilkie. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a request to keep the peace while an individual retrieved personal property from a residence.

  • Police received a Child Welfare Act complaint. Members spoke to the child’s guardian.

  • There was also one traffic complaint.


 

MACKLIN REPORT

  • RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a medical professional.

  • Police received a complaint of an individual not complying with conditions of an undertaking. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

  • Police received a complaint of a break and enter at a rural residence. This matter is still under investigation.

  • Members received a report of an abandoned vehicle north or Macklin. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a report of an individual in possession of stolen property. This matter is still under investigation.

  • There was also one traffic complaint.
