Kindersley Minor Hockey's first tournament of the year was a success. Great hockey was joined by a successful raffle table, that included an Edmonton Oilers grand prize.

Eight teams were in play for the November tournament, including the Kindersley U15 Klippers 1 and 2 teams. Kindersley 1 was in a pool with Delisle, Flin Flon, and the Swift Current Canucks. Kindersley 2's bracket consisted of them, Warman, Strasbourg/Raymore and the Swift Current Blades.

Each Kindersley team got their tournament underway Friday afternoon just after 4:00 PM. Games went all night, and then started back up Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. The round-robin schedule was decided from there, and then to cap off the night Saturday was the annual skills competition.

Sunday morning opened with the Kindersley 2 team playing Delisle in the consolation round. Faced with a short bench during the weekend, Kindersley saw a few key players return and help them to a win in their final game.

Pool play resulted in only one Kindersley team making it into the medal round. Kindersley 1 lost to Strasbourg/Raymore who claimed the bronze medal game in the battle of second place teams. The gold-medal matchup between the Swift Current Canucks & Blades assured that the tournament winners were from speedy creek, as the Blades were the team going home victorious.
