The U13 AA Western Prairie Thunder finished off their dominant 2022-23 season with a two game sweep of the Saskatoon Comet Hurricanes in the provincial championship. 

The girls won game one by a score of 3-1 at home in Kindersley on Thursday thanks to goals from Jalaa Moore Jagow, Hayden Hilbig, and Iralyn Calkins. 

Tess Kelly was solid in the pipes, giving up just one. The series marked the the two best teams in U13 AA girls hockey, with the Comet Hurricanes going 24-2 in the regular season, the Thunder going 25-1, with an impressive 6-0 record in the playoffs to claim the provincial championship.
