It has come to the attention of the Town of Unity’s Bylaw Officer Braden Voll that wild birds have become quite the problem for some residents. West central online had the opportunity to speak with Voll about where he will be and why he is doing what he is doing.

“Basically, it depends on who would like their yards attended to, as some people don't mind the wildlife and in others they notice it as being a nuisance because the crows and the bigger birds will affect the population of the smaller birds when they come and they will actually kill them and that affects the population of the birds coming back to the community...”

This is done infrequently and depends on complaints from the community if it is to be done more often.

Throughout Friday do not be alarmed if there are firearm discharges within town limits, as well the RCMP have been made aware of what is going on.

The Bylaw Cited for this specific situation is 1114-P-21
