In a back-and-forth series with the Davidson Cyclones, which resulted in two overtime games, the Dinsmore Sr. Dynamos would win the best of three series in the deciding game on the road in Davidson. Head coach Curt Jones said the team was pretty much together all season, with an import defenseman being added for their provincial run.

“Our core group of guys were all pretty much Dinsmore young guys that came back and farmed. That main core group of guys, and then we had some Beechy/ Lucky Lake guys, a couple Beechy guys, I guess, Steve de Silva and Austin Connor and they were on our team also. Then for provincials, we picked up an import defenseman out of Martensville to play provincials with us also.”

Thanks to timely scoring and strong goaltending, the team came together, and were solid throughout their provincial run.

“It was just a solid effort by a lot of determined hockey players and it was just a great team effort. Our last game in Davidson there all three lines scored, that's really important that you just don't rely on one line for all of your offense for you. It was a full team effort, that's for sure. Our goaltender Jeff Bosch was lights out, he is a stellar goaltender. When he's on he's tough to beat and our defense was bolstered a little bit with our import defenseman,” Jones added.

Another thing Jones pointed out was the unbelievable fan support the team received during the season, and during their provincial run.

“There were fans from one mile to 80 miles around and they all come and really supported us. Whether it be on the road and our home games were packed to the rafters. You can't say enough about the fans and the fan support, and I think the big thing about that is the names on the back of the jerseys. I mean a lot of hometown guys and and that really keeps people interested, and in watching their nephew, son, grandson, acquaintance, whatever it is, but the amount of hometown guys and local guys we got around from the area is the biggest reason why we have tremendous fan support. It's just a great thing for our small community to be back at this level again. And after some time off out of the senior ranks and to have these young guys put this effort and commitment in, is outstanding,” Jones also said.

Dinsmore will also be holding a celebration for the team on April 15, at the Dinsmore Community Hall.
