The Kindersley Sr. Klippers and Hafford Hawks battled it out in other classic playoff game, this time on Kindersley ice.  It was the away team who got on the board first, as former Jr. Klipper captain Jordan Braid walked in and beat Sr. Klippers goaltender Logan Drackett to make the score 1-0. But the Klips answered back with Kyle Donaldson continuing his great play, scoring his second of the playoffs to knot things at one.

The second period saw Carson Grolla give the Klippers the lead with a perfect shot from the point on the powerplay to make it 2-1. But Hafford got a powerplay of their own shortly after that with Koba Kindrachuk shooting an absolute lazer from the high slot to make it 2-2.

Things looked grim as the Hawks Kyle Ireland made it 3-2 with the visitors late, but the Klippers showed the heart and dedication to comeback late, as veteran defender Brody Ryberg got his biggest goal of the season with the extra man on the ice for the Klippers to send the WCEC into a frenzy.

The Klippers took that momentum into overtime and appropriately sniper Lane Gilliss got the winner on a perfect wrister to gave the Klippers a dramatic come from behind 4-3 OT win.

The Hawks have to feel snake bitten against the Klips, as they have let two late leads slip away late and fell in overtime and now trail in the series two games to one.

Game four goes tonight at the Hafford & District Communiplex.

Another announcement was made prior to game number three in Kindersley, as goaltender Logan Drackett was recognized for his stellar season, being named second team all star goaltender in the SWHL. Drackett has been awesome all year in the nets for Kindersley and definitely deserves the recognition.

Dracks and VaughnSWHL Vice President Vaughn Biberdorf acknowledges Klippers goaltender Logan Drackett for his stellar season.
