A special air quality statement was applied by Environment Canada for the area early Monday morning.

Widespread smoke is headlining the forecast, though things are expected to clear up after Monday.

"Smoke from wildfires will gradually push eastward from Alberta into parts of Saskatchewan today, resulting in poor air quality and reduced visibility. The smoke should be mostly out of the area by Tuesday morning." 

Outside of the smoke to start the week, residents can expect a warm day with the high currently reading 26 degrees.
