In the only two games of local senior hockey action to cap off 2022, the Outlook Ice Hawks ended the year on a high note with a 4-3 road win over the Delisle Bruins, and unfortunately the Eatonia Huskies suffered their first loss of the year 6-4 on the road against Maple Creek.

Eatonia will have a lot to look forward to in 2023 after their successful return to senior hockey so far. Their first loss of the season saw a 4-4 game into the third broke open by two unanswered goals from Maple Creek. The game was punctuated by a pair of three point nights from Maple Creek forwards Brady Resch and Cody Florkowski, though the Huskies were kept in the game by Matt McKinnon and Mitch Larock who each collected two points in the loss.

The one goal decision in Delisle did not have statistics available through the Sask Valley Hockey League website, but a fiery first period had the game off to a good start. It was 2-1 after one at the Delisle Centennial Arena, and two second period goals would be too many for the home team to overcome as Delisle scored two themselves but eventually dropped their third straight game.
