Saskatchewan has the lowest numbers in Canada for seniors who are getting their flu shot.

The Canadian institute for health information is reporting that only half the number of people over the age of sixty five are receiving their flu shot.

The national average for people receiving flu shots was 63%.

Dr. Demise Walker, chief medical health officer for Saskatchewan, admits the numbers have been decreasing each year and how they are getting quite low. She added the report makes the numbers seem worse than they actually are.
