The Saskatchewan NDP have their latest candidate for the next provincial election scheduled for October 28, 2024.

A familiar name from past elections, Brenda Edel was named as the candidate in Rosetown-Delisle by Saskatchewan NDP members back on Saturday.

“I am honoured to be the Saskatchewan NDP candidate once again,” said Edel. “I am proud to stand with Carla Beck as we work together to build a more accessible, brighter future for Saskatchewan.”

A SaskTel employee since 1993, Edel resides on an acreage in the RM of Vanscoy with her husband Greg. Described as, 'a strong community leader and advocate', Edel is a founding member and President of Barrier Free Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck is looking forward to having Edel by her side. Edel ran for office in the Rosetown-Elrose riding back in the 2020 Provincial Election.

“I am so happy to have a champion like Brenda running for us here in Rosetown-Delisle,” said Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck. “I know that Brenda’s passion, dedication, and experience will make her an excellent MLA for the people of Rosetown-Delisle.”

Edel is the twenty-fourth candidate nominated in advance of the 2024 Provincial Election. The next NDP nomination will come out of the Battlefords constituency on November 24, for the next election currently set for October 28, 2024.
