The Annual Rosebud Curling Bonspiel was held at the Rosetown Curling Rink this past weekend. The bonspiel is a chance for the ladies with brooms to shine as teams from all over the province face one another and show their curling skills.

The Rosebud tournament was centered around a cash bonspiel as a grand prize. Laurie Slocombe, general organizer for the Saskatoon Curling Club, said the event had a good turnout of competitors, with a total of 18 teams participating. And to celebrate the annual curling tournament, an 'eighties' banquet was held on Saturday night, providing good food and lively entertainment.

Merle Kopach, captain of the Saskatoon team was pleased to say she always looked forward to competing in the Rosebud Annual bonspiel:

"It just feels like home," she said, describing the rink, and lively rapport of the curling teams.
