In a release from the Rosetown RCMP, it was shared just before midnight on November 11, Rosetown RCMP received a report of a robbery and serious assault that occurred in Rosetown.

Investigation determined there was an altercation between a group of individuals in the 1st Street West area in Rosetown. An adult male stole a cellphone from an adult female. The same adult male pointed a firearm at several individuals during the incident. An adult male victim was then assaulted and is now being treated in hospital for injuries described as serious in nature.

As a result of continued investigation, two adult males were arrested without incident in Rosetown on November 12.

33-year-old Corey Rushkewich and 29-year-old Randy Rushkewich, both from Rosetown, are each charged with one count, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code.

Corey Rushkewich is also charged with three counts, pointing a firearm, Section 87(2), Criminal Code and one count, robbery, Section 344, Criminal Code.

They are scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on November 14.
