There will certainly be some big laughs come Friday night in Rosetown, as the Kinsmen Club is hosting a comedy night at the Rosetown Civic Centre.

They will be welcoming in a pair of comedians. Jodi Peters will be on stage, and Saskatchewan Youtube sensation Quick Dick McDick will also be performing as he brings his small-town comedy act to West Central once again.

Saskatchewan Small Town Comedy Tour Hits Eston

Having Quick Dick in our contacts list, we checked in with him to see just how everything was going before making the trek out to West Central. He has been on the ball with his weekly uploads lately, treating his fans as much as he can while still making a go of it as a farmer out near Tuffnell, Saskatchewan.

"I try to upload every Monday morning, but there are times I'm just too busy to get it done," he said, "If you keep people on a viewing schedule, lots of my audience are older farmers who may not know how Youtube notifications work, so I just have them trained that Monday morning they can see my videos!" joked Quick Dick about keeping his fans happy.

His videos range in topics, but one thing that he always tries to make sure they include is some rural Saskatchewan geared humour. Yes, the Quick Dick McDick channel has some great laughs, but political videos such as "The Canadian Fertilizer Ban" and "jUsT StOp OiL" both have over 100,000 views and counting as the Saskatchewan farmer and entertainer isn't afraid to stand up to these topics through informative videos.

When it comes to his upcoming show in Rosetown, the topics at hand will be the former and that's how Quick Dick hopes to keep it.

"Anyone that's seen one of my shows before, I run pretty much the same one because I haven't actually really been that many places with it," he said, expecting to come in the same fiery character his fans know and love, "A lot of people don't know what to expect, and it's an absolute blast. There is some cussing and swearing, it's the turnt' up Quick Dick that everyone has kind of gotten to know on my Youtube."

He is leaving the politics at home, instead bringing stories from Tuffnell to West Central in a way that everyone should be able to relate.

The stories talk about growing up in rural Saskatchewan, as also in true small-town spirit, Quick Dick is happy to be able to use his personality to help raise funds for the Rosetown Kinsmen Club's new all-inclusive, wheel care accessible playground.

"It's just been so much fun, I'm honoured to able to come and help with the Kinsmen," he said, as he has been busy recently with other fundraising opportunities similar to this one around Saskatchewan, "Did the Craik Fire Department, Autumn House down in Gull Lake. It's a great way for everybody to come out and support a community event, and at the same time have some fun and laugh at some jokes you know what I mean?"

Anyone who attended his show last year in Eston might not be too surprised by the material, but the fact that every small community can relate is what makes Quick Dick's act so great.

"It's the first thing we talk about, it's what the show is about. It's about Quick Dick showing people that everybody's small town is the same," he laughed as he went on in description, "I talk about things we do in Tuffnell, and it's so fun to watch all the audience members pointing at eachother. I do a whole bit on parents and using smartphones, using your dad's shop; just a bunch of goofy stuff like that that we might not realize we all have in common."

At the end of the day, it's about having some fun and raising some money, both things right up Quick Dick's alley.
