The Rosetown Royals suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday in the SHSAA provincial semi-finals, 62-24 on the road against the Clavet Cougars.
The loss ended any hopes the Royals had of a gold medal. Coach Mitch Wintonyk knew it would be a tough test headed in against a familiar Clavet team, having nothing but good things to say about the successful football program they've met two years in a row now.
Rosetown still has one game left, however, hosting Wakaw this Saturday in the bronze medal game.
The game is scheduled for 1:00 PM, and you can follow along with Rosetown Central High School on Facebook for more details.
