When it was announced by the Kinsmen and Kinette Club of Kindersley that QuickDickMcDick was coming to perform on Friday, January 19, tickets sold so fast that organizers made the quick decision to host another show, a day earlier on Thursday, January 18.

Those tickets didn't last any longer, as Kindersley must be excited to watch QuickDick do his thing live on stage.

"For some strange reason, I don't know why, there has been a high demand for this show in a lot of places." joked the comedian, as his small town comedy has even been a hit in the cities. Recent shows in Saskatoon were part of a STARS fundraiser that resulted in a $10,000 cheque.

QuickDick is clearly no stranger in giving back to charity, and talked about doing the Kindersley shows this weekend seeing all proceeds going to TeleMiracle 48.

"Whether it was for TeleMiracle or not, it was for the Kinsmen, so I was going to come and do it." he said.

Many would call QuickDick a hot commodity with his busy schedule. Starting with only a single show scheduled for Kindersley, he detailed how the two-night event came about.

"It was kind of funny because we listed one night, and it sold out right away. They were like, 'can you do a second night', and I was like, 'what am I Garth Brooks!'"

QuickDick has performed in a handful of west-central Saskatchewan towns the past couple of years. Other than Unity he's been in Eston, Rosetown, and most recently Leader.

Many west-central residents are right in his comedy wheelhouse, and QuickDick is excited to see what Kindersley has to offer.

"It's a hard-working town of oil-people, and farmers; you name it and it's in Kindersley. I just love towns like that in Saskatchewan, that have a wide-variety of industry in them."

While his show may not always at times be politically correct, it is a great way to look back on where you came from. QuickDick said his recent shows have brought a common theme of familiarity.

"We just talk about everyday things we do in small towns." he said. "It's the goal of QuickDick, to be relatable, and this show so far has definitely been." finished QuickDick, who also teased a musical aspect to his show.

While good times are the main focus, the aspect of TeleMiracle 48 can't be missed when looking at the upcoming shows. Always willing to help out with the provincewide fundraiser, QuickDick says the yearly telethon is something near and dear to his heart.

"I remember as a kid, that was the one time you got to stay up as late as you want. 'TeleMiracle's on!'" he said excitedly. "You are allowed to stay up, phone in and make donations, then wait for your name to scroll across the screen. You know what I mean? I love TeleMiracle."

QuickDick gave a shoutout to TeleMiracle for everything they provide with the yearly spectacle, also giving a mention to the Kinsmen and Kinette clubs behind the scenes whenever QuickDick is called on to help raise some money.

"It's just a great group of people with huge hearts."

For the past couple of years QuickDick himself has been a part of the TeleMiracle programming. He didn't have much to share here in the middle of January, but said that there will be no shortage of reminders to "ring those phones" when TeleMiracle 48 does commence February 24-25.

"Whether or not it winds up on the production itself, it'll definitely be on the channel."
