West Central Rage

The West Central Rage of the PJHL were back in action this past weekend and were up against the best team in their division. The Rage played the Saskatoon Quakers on Sunday afternoon at the Kerrobert Arena and actually got on the board first on a goal by Avery Cholin. The lead only lasted for 12 seconds as the Quakers answered back quickly and took the lead with 4 straight goals leading 4-1 after the first period. There was no scoring in the second period but the Quakers managed to put up 4 more goals in the third period with West Central scoring one more goal late by Jared Risling to make the final score 8-2. Next action for the Rage is on November 23 when they head to Dodsland for a neutral site game against the Delisle Chiefs at 7 pm. The Rage will hope to improve on a 3-14-1 mark on the weekend as they will play the Regina Capitals on Sunday as well at the Kerrobert Arena at 3 pm.

Delisle Chiefs

The Delisle Chiefs were in on the ice this weekend as well and couldn't get in the win column losing both games. The first game was against the tough Saskatoon Quakers team and it was a very close, tight checking game. All the scoring was done in the first two periods with the first two by the Quakers and Chad Westman scored late in the second to make the game close. It wasn't enough though as Saskatoon held on for the 2-1 win. The Chiefs then had a short turn around and went up to play the Prince Albert Titans on Sunday. Delisle took the lead 2-0 on goals by Austin Linnen and Joel Zaidan, but coughed up the lead on 4 straight goals by the Titans and were down 4-2 going into the third period. The Chiefs got close on a goal by Keegan Randell with just over 5 minutes left, but it wasn't enough and Delisle fell once again 4-3 in another close game. The Chiefs now sit with a 7-4-1 record after 12 games and will play West Central on Saturday in Dodsland next.

Plenty's Chad Westman continues to lead the Chiefs with 19 points in 12 games. Austin Linnen is right behind with 17 points and Jaden Shewchuk has 15 points and is tied with Linnen in goals with 8 in 12 games played as well.
