It is still undecided if the Goose Festival and parade will happen this fall, Kevin Martin of the Kindersley Chamber, said the answer if the festival and parade will be held, will probably be answered at the next Chamber meeting in August.

"I think that will the one to decide yay or nay. The chamber itself is going to only put on the parade anyway, and get the posters ready. Other than that it's up to local businesses what they want to do if it does go ahead," Martin said.

Martin expressed concern about the current COVID-19 cases in the area, and said because we draw people from all over, like Leader, Eston, Kerrobert, Dodsland and other west central communities, safety is our number one priority moving forward.

Martin also said if the provincial government gives them the go ahead to have larger crowds in the fall, the festival will probably happen, but cautioned if people are afraid to come because of COVID-19, it may just be set aside until 2021.
