The calls to service for the Unity, Macklin and Wilkie RCMP detachment from March 1 to 7 included many accidents due to the icy roads, abandoned vehicles due to the storm. There was also a snowmobile rollover which Members attended near Unity. The vehicle driver was transported to Unity Health Centre by Emergency Medical Services. This matter is still under investigation. And RCMP are investigating a complaint of theft at an oilfield site near Unity. Read the full Unity, Macklin and Wilkie RCMP report below:
UNITY REPORTS
· RCMP are investigating a complaint of an indecent act.
· A 53-year-old Unity female was charged with Failure to Comply with Demand after she refused to provide a breath sample.
· Police received a complaint of an individual loitering at a business. Members attended and spoke to the individual who was waiting for transportation.
· RCMP are investigating a complaint of theft at an oilfield site near Unity.
· Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.
· Police received a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Unity. The driver and passenger of one vehicle were transported to Unity Health Centre for non life-threatening injuries. Reduced visibility was a factor in the collision.
· Members attended a snowmobile rollover near Unity. The vehicle driver was transported to Unity Health Centre by Emergency Medical Services. This matter is still under investigation.
· RCMP assisted Child and Family Services with a child welfare concern.
· Police attended the scene of a broken down vehicle to provide traffic control to prevent a collision during inclement weather conditions.
· Members attended a single vehicle collision on Highway 14 west of Unity. Icy roads and reduced visibility were factors in the collision.
· RCMP received a report of a two vehicle collision in Unity. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.
· There were also two false alarms and seven traffic complaints.
WILKIE REPORTS
· RCMP received a complaint of a stolen truck but it was unfounded.
· Members assisted an individual in locating transportation.
· Police received a complaint of an intoxicated individual in public. Members transported the individual to Battlefords cells to be lodged until sober.
· Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.
· RCMP received a complaint of assault. Members attended but the complainant declined to proceed.
· Members conducted another wellbeing check at the request of a family member.
· Police attended a single vehicle collision near Wilkie. There were no injuries.
· RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle in a rural area near Wilkie. The vehicle was towed.
· Members attended a residence fire. The fire was extinguished by Wilkie Fire Department and is still under investigation.
· Police received a report of a single vehicle collision north of Wilkie. There were no injuries. Icy roads and reduced visibility were factors in the collision.
· There was also one false alarm.
MACKLIN REPORT
· RCMP assisted an individual in locating a place to stay.
· Members received a report of an individual damaging a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
· Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
· RCMP received a complaint of several vehicles stuck on Highway 14 west of Macklin. Members attended but the vehicles were gone on arrival.
· There was also one traffic complaint.
