Not only has the Hi-Way 14 Hockey League been busy with games in late January, but provincials have also fired up for U13 to U18 teams in the West Central region. 

Starting in U13 D provincials, the Lucky Lake Dynamos and Leader Flyers are battling it out in an all-west central matchup, with Lucky Lake taking game one on Friday by a score of 6-2. Game two is set for Wednesday at 6:00 pm in Beechy. Kerrobert meanwhile won their first game against the Whitefish Flyers 10-5 at home Saturday and can finish off the series on the road on Sunday at 3:00 pm. Another showdown in U13 D provincials sees Macklin up against Edam. Game one is set for tonight in Edam at 7:30 pm, with game two back in Macklin on Saturday at 5:00 pm 

Looking at U13 C provincials, Unity knocked off Maidstone 5-2 in game one, and can win the series at home Sunday afternoon at 2:15. As for Rosetown, they have already moved on to round two, after defeating Spiritwood in round one. 

Shifting gears to U15 D provincials, Eston is up against Paradise Hill in round one, with game one set for tonight at the Eston Arena. While Delisle will be playing Edam. Game one will be in Edam at 1:30 pm Sunday, with game two back in Delisle February 10 at 3:00 pm. 

In U15 C provincials, Rosetown will be hosting Wakaw, with game one set for tonight at the Rosetown Arena at 7:30 pm. Shifting gears to B provincials, Unity will be up against La Ronge in round one. The Lazers will host game one on Saturday at 5:00 pm. Game two will be back up in La Ronge February 10 at 1:30 pm. As for Kindersley, they will be up against Meadow Lake in round one, with game one in Kindersley Friday night at 8:00. Game two will be in Meadow Lake February 9 at 5:30 pm.

The Outlook Ice Hawks will be playing Watrous in a battle of the Hawks, with game one set for Outlook Sunday at 7:15 pm. Game two will be in Watrous February 11 at 5:00 pm. And the Prairie Predators will be playing Maple Creek in round one, with game one in Maple Creek on Sunday at 4:00 pm. Game two will be back in Beechy on February 10 at 6:00 pm. 

Looking at U18, we start in B provincials with Biggar knocking off Waldheim off in round one. Unity played Shellbrook in round one, and after winning game one 3-1, they fell in game two 5-2, and the subsequent mini-game 2-0 to end their playoff run. Biggar will play Shellbrook in round two.
