A local hockey player is at an international event this holiday season.

Rosetown's Kendall McFaull is at the World Under 17 Challenge being held in Port Alberni, BC.  McFaull is one of 22 players from Manitoba and Saskatchewan to be selected to Canada's Team West.  The self proclaimed "stay at home" defenseman tells us that it will be a challenge to face the international competition.

McFaull, who plays for the Midget AAA Saskatoon Contacts, played Russia in an exhibition game yesterday then kicked off the tournament today against Team Quebec.
