The Town of Leader has chosen the recipients of the Citizen of the Year Award.

Kevin and Carole Fitzsimonds were chosen for the 2008 year because they are both very involved in the community. Both are Lions members and helped with the Millenium Gardens. Carole is also very involved with the local library and Kevin did some building out at the ball diamonds.

Citizens are nominated by the community and then the council decides who the winner or winners will be. The award is given out at the Leader Community Christmas Party.
