After the Kindersley Jr. Klippers rallied back this past weekend, putting two wins on home ice against Estevan and Weyburn, they had little downtime before lacing up for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) Showcase.

The Showcase, which got underway on Sunday, is a four-day event and provides players an opportunity to showoff their skills in front of scouts from multiple collegiate and professional hockey organizations including the NHL and NCAA.

The Klippers went up against the La Ronge Ice Wolves for game one this past Sunday. Coming off two big wins, the Klippers would have liked to keep the momentum going, however, fell short to the Ice Wolves, losing the game 4 to 2.

Game two was the Klippers last chance to put up a win in front of the estimated 200 scouts. In a tight game against the Estevan Bruins, the Klippers got the job done and came out on top, winning 6 to 5 in a shoot-out.

The Klippers now sit with 3 wins and 3 losses on the season and are currently in third place in their division, trailing the Notre Dame Hounds with 3-2 and the Battlefords North Stars who remain undefeated at 5-0.

The Humboldt Broncos, who are currently sitting last in the division with 2 wins and 2 losses, will make their way to the West Central Events Centre this Friday to take on the Klippers, who will be looking to add to their winning streak.
