Back for the eighth year, Kinley's Toy Drive will continue to donate toys for patients in the Jim Pattison's Children's Hospital.

The story of Kinley's time in hospital is the the reasoning for the Toy Drive.

Like in previous years the Toy Drive is looking for small, hand-held toys such as rattles for infants. Colouring books, wooden blocks and Play Doh for toddlers and preschoolers. And playing cards, board games and individual toys for school aged and teenaged kids.

Kinley's mother Candis said they are also looking for some other items for bingo prizes, which is held every Thursday.

"They are looking for fidget toys, slime kits, small legos, card games and stuff like that. They hand out multiple prizes (for bingo), so they do go through those a lot."

Kinley, who has a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia, has endured numerous long stays in the hospital and although she is doing much better and thriving after her liver transplant, she, and her mom Candis, continue to organize the toy drive, knowing how much of a difference it can make.
