A well know child care services program in Kindersley is looking to expand in the near future. Kinder Kollege Inc. has been in the west-central community for many years and is undergoing an expansion and building a brand new sister centre called Kid’s Academy.

The new facility will provide childcare to children 6 months to 5 years, as well as school-aged children for before and after school programming, and holidays.

The fundraising committee has begun their fundraising efforts to raise the over $4 million needed to build and furnish the facility.

The kick-off event will be a golf tournament. The tournament will be a 4-person Texas scramble and cost $125 per person with two meals included. Tax receipts are available to participants.

Jacqueline Armitage, who is Chair of the Kid’s Academy fundraising committee, said the new building will be located at 200 Thompson Drive in Rosedale.

She also stated they have a rough timeline for the building construction but it will depend on being able to secure $3-4 million to get the project started.

The hope is to pre the land in the fall of 2023 with construction expected to begin in the spring of 2024.
