The Town of Kerrobert will be holding their annual Harvest Festival this weekend. All kinds of different events will be taking place, including a pair of football games Friday, starting with the Kerrobert Jr. Rebels at 5:00 pm, with the Sr. Rebels to follow at 8:00 pm.

The busy weekend continues on Saturday, as Kerrobert Rec Director Marli Shepherd explains.

“Saturday starts off with the parade that was organized by the Chamber of Commerce at 10:00 am. Then 11:30 am to 1:00 pm is The Pioneers Haven soup and sandwich lunch. And then from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, the Courthouse Carnival kicks off. So, we have a bunch of different games that will be played in the courtyard, as well as a Turkey shoot in the library. The Communities in Bloom Ladies will be running a little canteen. The gallery will be open for an artist meet and greet. And there will be Museum and Courthouse tours throughout that, and then we're going to start moving over from the Courthouse to the poolside park. DJ McGrath is going to come and play a street hockey game with the kids. Minor hockey is doing a pulled pork supper. We have a farmers' market, we have glitter tattoos coming balloon man, a money pit, face painters, and pumpkin painting.”

That is just some of the events going on Saturday, including the Harvest Hoe Down to wrap up the day, as Shepherd explains.

“From 1:00 to 3:00 pm, there's going to be an antique farm equipment demonstration out by the Smith farm. A Flag Football Jamboree, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday as well. And then we're going to have our Harvest Festival Hoe Down. We have the Gypsy Renegades coming from Cold Lake area to put on a dance that is family friendly, and we have designated drivers for that.”

Sunday wraps up with the Kerrobert Kinettes holding a pancake breakfast from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Kinsmen Hall, and a Petting Zoo from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at the Poolside Park.
