Kindersley Klippers defense prospect Jaxon Herchak is looking for a spot on Team Saskatchewan for the upcoming National Aboriginal Hockey Championships, taking place May 6-12, 2024 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The Colorado College commit, and second overall pick in the 2023 SJHL Draft Herchak was included on the list of over 40 players vying for a spot on the team.

No other local players cracked the list for the male roster, though looking at the female invitational, Unity's Bree Purcell, Kyle's Kaylee Williams, and Kerrobert's Berkley Wuttunee are on the list. These players advanced on after an ID camp was held late December in Saskatoon.

Now, next month both male and female players who made the cut will be trying out for their respective teams. The female players will compete during two different sessions on February 19 at Merlis Belsher Place, while the male participants will play at the Jemini arena on February 20th.

Find each invitational roster below, as these talented male and female players work to be named to Team Saskatchewan.
