It was a full-house at the grand-opening for the new AGT Soileos facility north of Rosetown last Wednesday. Local producers were invited in to see the new sustainable fertilizer production facility in person and to hear from the people that made it happen.

Mayor of Rosetown Trevor Hay was one of the local voices to take the stand. He talked about the immediate impacts this announcement brings to the community.

"The jobs are instant. Helping the economy with jobs, people moving to Rosetown, and then also utilizing our local businesses." said Hay, as Rosetown's various retail locations should benefit from more people moving in.

These benefits won't just be contained to economics.

"If you go beyond that, new people coming here, what are they interested in? There's always a need for firefighters, volunteers, we have sports that need coaches and stuff like that. The imagination can't fathom what this might bring to Town." commented Hay.

The local agriculture sector as a whole should be excited for the news according to Hay.

"For the farmers around here, what a valuable asset to have right in Rosetown. It's new innovation."

With multiple ag dealerships in the area dominated by farmland, Hay wants Rosetown to be as much of an agriculture hotbed as possible.

"There is potential to have all sorts of different agricultural business in the area. (AGT Soileos) coming here has been fantastic)."

This new announcement not only points Rosetown in the right direction, but continues the longstanding relationship between AGT Foods and the west-central community.
