The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers were on the road this weekend and finally got a win in Nipawin. Kyle Bosch got the overtime winner just over 3 minutes in to the extra session and the Klippers won 3-2. Kindersley fell behind 2-1 after the first and managed to tie it late on a goal by Tyler Traptow, setting up Bosch’s overtime winner. The win snapped a 7 game losing streak for the team.

The Klippers didn’t have long to celebrate as they headed to Melfort to battle the Mustangs on Saturday might. Kindersley couldn’t get on the scoreboard until a late goal by Kindersley native Jaxon Georget and fell to Melfort 4-1. Matt Sankner, who was picked up by the Klippers in a trade with the Flin Flon Bombers, made 39 saves in the loss. Kyle Bosch leads the team in scoring with 23 points in 24 games with Austin Nault (10G 8A in 19GP) and Liam Fraser (8G 10A in 24 GP) right behind with 18 points. The Klippers will be back in action on Tuesday night as they will play the first of 3 games at home starting with the Estevan Bruins at 7:30 at the West Central Events Centre.
