Due to the icy roads causing a semi jackknifed east of McGee on Highway 7, West Central Online has learned from the Rosetown Fire Department that the road is closed until it can be cleared, and travel is not recommended at this time. We will have more as the story develops.
Due to the high winds, warmer temperatures, and latest snowfall, there is a semi jackknifed on Highway 4 north of Elrose, and one accident was reported near Harris earlier on Highway 7 due to the icy roads.
There is also a semi jackknifed west of Rosetown on Highway 7, and some cars are in the ditch as well. The wind is expected to remain for the day, and icy roads may persist into the evening, and overnight.
Here are some pictures of the semi jackknifed west of Rosetown courtesy of Rhonda Werstiuk.
Make sure to check the highway hotline before heading out this afternoon.
