The Eston Rally Cap & My First Pitch Clinic was held on Sunday for all of the baseball players in the area. Players have been practicing and playing for several weeks, but are always looking to get better and enjoy themselves during the very short season.

Rally Cap players are born anywhere from 2009-2011 and are 6-8 years of age. Many of these young superstars are still learning the rules of the game, and how to properly play the game. These instruction camps work on letting the kids hit the ball around and learning what it's like to be on an actual team.

Throughout the day, the Rally Cap players worked on playing catch, running the bases, hitting the ball and playing positions out in the field.

My First Pitch Clinic is available to the Mosquito and Peewee players. These players are aged from 9-13 years old, and are beginning to play games with live pitching. Kids that begin to play baseball from 5-8 will learn as much as they can about baseball, but a pitching machine is used to teach hitting and pitching mechanics are taught later on in the game.

As these players continue to practice up for their year end tournaments and provincial championships, the importance of learning how to pitch becomes vital to being a successful baseball player.

Ultimately, the young baseball stars are looking to take in as much baseball activity as possible before the season comes to a close. Baseball season starts up at the end of April and finishes near the end of June or start of July.
