On Sunday afternoon, volunteers from the surrounding area of Kindersley spent their time cleaning up certain areas of the town. There were a total of 12 volunteers that spent their afternoon outside in parking lots, public parks and other areas that needed a bit of a clean.

The main areas that were covered in the cleanup were along the service road along 11th Avenue, as well as the Wal-Mart area which included the meridian area and the parking lot.

Other citizens in the town played their part by heading to the town landfill to dispose of their garbage. The town landfill was hosting free entries to dispose of garbage just for the afternoon from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

Volunteers who were able to take part in the actual Clean-up will be rewarded with a chance to win 4 free subscriptions to Loraas green compost cart service. The cart service believes in giving back to the hard-working volunteers who went out of their way to turn the city into a better place for all of it's citizens.

Weather was cooperative for the most part throughout the Community clean-up, as it was calling for rain throughout the entire afternoon, and there wasn't a single ounce. Citizens spent the entire afternoon in the sun where they enjoyed the nice weather and good company.

Kindersley will look to have another Community Clean-up in the near by future, especially after seeing so much positive feedback.
