The Eatonia Sr. Huskies will be back in action this weekend against a familiar foe in the White Mud Hockey League, the Gull Lake Greyhounds. The Huskies will have revenge on their minds after being swept by the Greyhounds in last year's White Mud Hockey League finale.

Huskies President/Player Matt McKinnon expects a series of finesse with a little bit of rough and tumble play as well.

"They are a physical team, have a lot of talent, and we are definitely going to have our hands full. We are excited to play them, they are a very finesse and physical hockey team, they roll all four lines, and they are a very difficult team to play, but we are looking forward to it," McKinnon said.

As for the season for the Huskies, McKinnon said he was satisfied with how things have gone so far.

“Overall, we're happy with the season. We wish we would have ended up a little higher in the standings, but the fellas probably won't appreciate me saying this, but I think the age of our team is starting to show. There were a lot of bruised guys and injuries and that sort of thing. So, guys in and out of the lineup and it did show this year, and I think it also just shows the type of league that we're in that any team, any night can win.  We wish we would have finished a little higher, but we're happy with where we're at and we're glad that we're kind of getting to our peak at this time.”

Game one will be in Gull Lake Friday night at 8:00 pm, with game two in Eatonia on Saturday night beginning at 7:00 pm.
