The Western Hockey League continued it's second round of playoffs earlier this week. The Saskatoon Blades didn't skip a beat, completing a sweep over the Red Deer Rebels to earn a spot in the WHL's final four.

The Blades opened the series with a pair of home wins. Saskatoon then exploded offensively in Red Deer with an 8-5 win in Game 3, and a 7-0 result in Game 4. Rosetown native Vaughn Watterodt had a goal in Game 1, finishing as the second star.

The Blades are still awaiting their next opponent, but one thing they know for sure is that the Eastern Conference Finals are staying in Saskatchewan. Either the Moose Jaw Warriors or Swift Current Broncos will be moving on to face the Blades, Moose Jaw currently up 3-1 in that series after a 5-2 win last night, ahead of Game 5 being played Friday.

The Prince George Cougars are currently up 3-1 on the Kelowna Rockets looking at the Western Conference, the winner of that series set to take on the Portland Winterhawks who are currently up 3-0 over the Everett Silvertips. View the complete WHL playoff bracket HERE.
