Biggar native and two-time Saskatchewan Scotties representative Robyn Silvernagle has continued to get great support, after her baby Kolt was born several weeks ahead of schedule. The 2019 and 2020 skip for Team Saskatchewan, along with husband Chad, announced on Team Silvernagle Facebook the baby would be on its way this fall, but when little Kolt arrived early, she posted on Facebook that baby Kolt was facing some health challenges.

Family, friends and fans have rallied to support Robyn and her family. Including a GoFundMe page started by Unity’s Kaitlyn Wallace, to encourage financial donations to help Silvernagle and husband with the expenses that lie ahead during Kolt's treatment.

"As most of you know Robyn and Chad gave birth to Kolt Matthew Guidinger almost six weeks early. This little guy has an incredibly tough road ahead but is such a little fighter. He was born with an incomplete esophagus and surgery has successfully reattached it. Kolt will undergo heart surgery between four to six months of age. Kolt is so lucky to have such strong parents to support him."

The GoFundMe page is looking for donations to help cover the costs of additional travel, food and accommodation expenses the family will incur so they can focus on bringing Kolt home.

Little Kolt, Robyn, and her husband will continue to spend time between Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon and Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alta., for Kolt's treatment and care.

At the time of the writing of this article, $10,100 was raised for baby Kolt, with more donations expected to pour in.
