As July turned to August, Saskatchewan saw a new look for reports from the province on cases of COVID-19. The usual data, however, is still available on the provincial dashboard and shows the number of active cases in the province dropped yesterday.

According to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, there were no deaths due to the virus from July 31 to today. Over that same period, the SHA reported 175 new cases of COVID-19 and 179 recoveries. Of those new cases, 24 came yesterday. So did 49 recoveries. There have now been 50,120 cases in Saskatchewan.

Here in the Central West zone, active cases remain the lowest in the province's zone maps, sitting at just four.

There are now 449 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan. Of those 449 active cases, 58 require hospitalization and ten of those require intensive care. The seven-day average of daily new cases is 48. There were 1060 tests for COVID-19 processed in Saskatchewan yesterday. Only 775 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered for a total of 1,417,902.  75 per cent of those 12+ have received their first dose and 64 per cent of those 12+ are fully vaccinated.
