The province confirmed 107 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan on Tuesday.

This is down from the 128 that were confirmed on Monday.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (9), Far North East (3), North West (12), North Central (2), North East (2), Saskatoon (29), Central West (1), Central East (11), Regina (22), South Central (4) and South East (3) zones and nine (9) new cases have pending residence information.

The Seven-day Average of Daily New Cases is now at 185.

The province also confirmed five more COVID-related deaths on Tuesday. 859 residents of Saskatchewan have now died as a result of the COVID-19 virus since the pandemic began in March 2020.

There were 1,829 active COVID cases in Saskatchewan as of Tuesday afternoon.

There are now just 18 active cases in the Central West zone, the second lowest in the province. 738,369 people are now fully vaccinated in the province, including 23,455 in the Central West zone. Over 1.6 million people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Saskatchewan. 

222 people are in hospital with 174 receiving inpatient care and 48 in ICU. 26 ICU patients have been transferred out-of-province and have not been added to the total.

Also, the government announced that Scott's Fine Foods in Leader was issued a corporate fine of $14,000 during the week of Oct. 25 for failure to screen for proof of vaccination or negative test.
