Shortly after 2:00 pm Saturday, a group of approximately 100 protesters gathered outside the Golden West offices in Moose Jaw, calling for an "open and public debate" over the public health restrictions.

Moose Jaw Police Service say four tickets have been issued for breaking the Public Health Order.

While the event was generally peaceful, several members of the rally were heard making threats and verbally abusing members of the media who were there to cover the protest, with one individual warning a reporter to watch their back.

Attendees waved signs with slogans like "Mask on, brain off," and "COVID plandemic [sic] is the new globalist 911." One protestor was seen waving a "Trump 2020" flag.

The event was organized by the Facebook group, "Saskatchewan Freedom Revolution" with protestors coming from as far away as Saskatoon.

Officers from the Moose Jaw Police Service were on the scene of the rally. Prior to the event, the police service issued as press release saying, "[We] recognize the right to peaceful assembly and the responsibility or participants in assemblies to comply with all laws, including the current Public Health Order.

Meanwhile, the Regina Police Service reported issuing another ticket in that city for a violation of the public health orders. They stated they received a complaint early Saturday about a large group of people who were inside a home. As a result, the resident received a $2800 ticket for violating the limit of private gatherings to be no more than those who ordinarily reside there.
