The town of Rosetown may still end up seeing a retail cannabis store join its list of businesses. David Morris with the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) stated via email, that a permit had been issued to a new proponent after the original candidate withdrew his application to have a store earlier this year.

The new candidate(s) are now working through SLGA’s permitting process. They have approximately 16 months from when they were notified of the opportunity to apply for a permit and proceed through the permitting process and, if successful, open their store.

The Town of Rosetown did confirm that the new proponent(s) are currently looking for a suitable location for the retail store.
