Skiers and snowboarders will only have a few more days to hit the slopes at Table Mountain as the season draws to an end for 2019, with the hills closing March 31.

General Manager of Table Maintain, Lawrence Bloulin said, "We had a really good start to the year with high attendance during the month of December and for the first couple weeks of January. Once the colder weather set in for February however, it was pretty much dead." Bloulin added, "We had 6 or 7 days where we even had to shut down completely due to the extreme cold in order to keep the staff safe."

The attendance numbers are back up for the month of March since the temperatures have started warming up and the park will be able to end the season on a high note.

With only two weekends left the park will be holding their annual Fun Day this coming Sunday. The day includes all kinds of different events for children and adults. Bloulin said, "This year we are having cardboard sled races, where participants can bring in their own sleds made from cardboard, duck tape and other household items."

On March 31, the final day Table Mountain will be open for the season, they will have their slush pit day. The staff at Table Mountain dig a hole, put a tarp in it, and then fill it with water. Guest then will get a chance to make their attempt at either snowboarding or skiing a crossed the pit.
