Table Mountain officially shut down their operations on Friday March 30th after another year out on the slopes. Even with the colder temperatures over the Easter weekend, the staff at Table Mountain decided not to extend their date of being open to the public.

The West Central Online staff had a chance to speak with Lawrence Blouin, General Manager of Table Mountain and ask about how the year went.

"It's been a tough year for us at Table Mountain. Over the Christmas holidays, the temperatures became really cold from December 23rd to January 3rd before it finally warmed up. The first few days of February break were essentially a write-off due to the additional cold weather." Blouin said.

Blouin talks about a big factor in which Table Mountain a success, which is business from different schools.

"Our school problem has been growing each year with more schools wanting to come out for a day on the slopes. We are always looking to improve this part of our business."

We asked Blouin about the newest additions that make Table Mountain one of the best places to ski or snowboard for all ages.

"We have a snow cross and border cross run set up. We have set it up two years ago, but this year we put it in a permanent location which seems to be loved by kids and parents." Blouin stated.

Table Mountain was the host for the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games that were held in the North Battleford area of the province. Events ran at Table Mountain during the six days of the games.
