Carl Ledding resigned from council at their last meeting. Rosetown has an open seat on their town council after Carl Ledding decided to resign.

Ledding served on Council since October 2016. He was the Chair of the Recreation Committee, and sat on both the Community and Business Development and Administration Committees.

Ledding's resignation was accepted at their Monday night meeting on April 16th. He said he chose to leave for entirely personal reasons.

He was the second person to resign from council this term. Hugh Lees also resigned in December 2017.

Council talked about holding off on trying to fill the position until after the summer holidays. The call for nominations is scheduled for September 5th, and if necessary, the by-election will be October 24th.

Council now includes Mayor Adam Krieser, Rome Molsberry, Rick Bell, Blair Wingert, Trevor Hay and the newest councilor, Darcy Olson, who filled the open position after Hugh Lees resigned.
