The Rosetown RCMP report for the period of June 5-11, includes a domestic situation in Rosetown, a vehicle fire, and a complaint of a stolen vehicle.

On the night of June 5th, Rosetown RCMP were dispatched to a domestic situation in Rosetown where a woman was heard screaming. Members attended and diffused the situation between a woman and man. Both parties were separated and the male was removed from the residence to minimize any further escalation. No charges were laid.

The next night, Rosetown RCMP were dispatched to a reported assault in progress at a farmyard in the RM of Marriott north of Rosetown. Upon attendance, members found the same two individuals from the previous night engaged in a heated argument. The service call came after one individual called a family member during the incident. Upon investigation, no evidence of an assault was found as the two individuals were not cooperative. Members again separated the individuals. Members strongly suggested to the involved parties that they accept assistance for their relationship issues, and the female was removed to to prevent any further escalation. Again, no charges were laid.

During the afternoon of June 9th, Rosetown RCMP were dispatched to a vehicle on fire on Highway 4 south of Rosetown. The driver managed to safely exit the vehicle, after it started on fire while being driven.

In the early hours of June 10th, Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of a vehicle stopped in the north bound lane approximately 10 kms north of Rosetown on Highway 4. A 16 year old male was found in the driver seat upon arrival, passed out due to alcohol consumption. He was arrested and charged for refusing to provide a breath sample. He was released to his parent, and will appear in in Rosetown court on August 27th, 2020.

Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of a stolen vehicle in the RM of Monet, on the night of June 11th. Members attended and after initial investigation, were able to locate the vehicle with the assistance of the Swift Current RCMP. Swift Current RCMP members were informed that an agreement between the owner and a mechanic was made to pick up the vehicle and have it fixed. The matter is still being investigated.

Between June 5 and June 11, 2020, Rosetown RCMP also dealt with four (4) motor vehicle collisions, three (3) false alarms, and checked on two (2) reported suspicious individuals on the highway. Rosetown RCMP members conducted six (6) traffic check stops throughout the week and issued 65 Traffic Safety Act charges.
