UPDATE: 2:00 p.m. December 11, 2018

The Kindersley RCMP have re-opened Highway 7 east of Kindersley after responding to a multi-vehicle collision earlier this morning.

It was reported that the collision involved 4 semi truck/trailer units. The first semi was traveling eastbound when he entered the opposite lane into oncoming traffic in an attempt to avoid a collision with the vehicle in front of him.

The driver proceeded to drive into the ditch on the north-side of the highway. His trailer was then hit by another semi coming from the west who then also hit the ditch.

A third semi which was approaching the scene deliberately drove into the ditch to avoid colliding with other semi's involved in the accident. As he went to take his semi into the ditch, he clipped a fourth semi that was turning north off of the highway.

RCMP said there were no injuries reported from the collisions and that it was extremely foggy at the time of the incident.

Both lanes on Highway 7 are now open and the situation is still under investigation
