The lighting of Lovett Park-a sure sign that Christmas is right around the corner! This years Winter Wonderland lighting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 27 at 7pm.

The Winter Wonderland light display was started by Marge Champion and Char McNally and it has become a welcome tradition in Rosetown. The community gathers to stroll through the park and witness the lighting. An evening that tends to leave visitors feeling a little more festive.

The many fun displays were created by the duo and include cartoon characters, polar bears, snow men and of course a Santa Claus.

Although the weather is expected to be mild, there will be a silver collection to help you warm up with a hot chocolate and cookie. Donations of $5.00 will get your name displayed on mittens lining the library ramp as well; which can be dropped off inside the library or at the town office.

“The proceeds will go towards paint, wood and more lights for the park,” shared Champion.

The lights will be lighting the nights at Lovett Park up until the end of December.
