The town of Kerrobert welcomed in Kelly Chase and Scott Schultz to the Kerrobert Sportsman Dinner event held this past Friday night. Hundreds of people purchased tickets to hear these two gentlemen tell some of their most memorable experiences with their careers.

Kelly Chase is a former NHL hockey player who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Hartford Whalers and most notably, the St. Louis Blues. Chase is now serving as the colour commentator for the St. Louis Blues after playing almost 500 career games in the NHL. He grew up in Porcupine Plain, SK and played his junior hockey with the Saskatoon Blades, where he made a big name for himself.

Scott Schultz played in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2002-2009 as a defensive tackle. Schultz was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK and became a huge fan favourite with the Riders due to his outstanding efforts on the field and in the community.

Following Chase and Schultz's speeches, there was a live auction that followed as a fundraiser. The evening turned out to be a huge success for local teams including the West Central Rage of the PJHL, Kerrobert Tigers of the SWHL, and all divisions in Kerrobert Minor Hockey.

The Kerrobert Prairieland Community Centre hosted the event, and was able to accommodate everyone who wished to be at the event.
