After the exhaustive list of calls for service this past week, it would appear that no one is immune to being targeted by criminals.

For the week ending September 30, 2018, there were a total of 10 break and enter calls to the detachments, three of which were churches. Leanne Flahr is with media relations for the RCMP and said that it has become a frequent occurrence since the middle of August, with some churches being hit more than once.

Flahr added that some churches leave their front doors open and have now been asked by the RCMP to ensure all entries to the building are locked. With there being seven other break and enters last week, that isn’t a bad reminder for all residents, including their homes, sheds and any other buildings that could be inviting for criminals.

Every instance resulted in thefts from the property and the RCMP are asking anyone with any information to call the Kindersley detachment, or contact Crime Stoppers.
