The latest Town of Kindersley E-Update features a ton of activity scheduled for the aquatic centre, a COVID-19 transmission message from the SHA, and updates from various town projects.

The west central region has faced an increased risk of transmission over the past few weeks. The town and RM of Kindersley was not listed as an at-risk location in the July 15th update, contrary to the RM's of Newcombe and Prairiedale. The latest source of increased transmission has been linked to hutterite colony spreads and communal living home outbreaks, as tens of cases continue to come a day in Saskatchewan. The provinces latest exposure threats have come out of several Regina businesses over the past week.

The Kindersley Aquatic Centre has a ton of opportunity for eager swimmers this summer, as many fun and/or challenging pool activities are on the facilities upcoming schedule. A Bronze Medallion course will be held August 24-26 for a fee of $150, eligible to anyone Bronze Star certified or over 13 years of age. The Bronze Medallion is the second step towards the life-guarding certification in Canada. The National Lifeguard Course will take place this weekend August 14-16, with a re-certification date set for August 23rd. A free water polo clinic is taking place on August 29th in two different time slots per age, and limited spots are available. The Aquatic Centre also held a colouring contest, with the winner receiving a 10 swim pass pack for the facility.

the roadways, as work has been completed on flooring at the Norman Ritchie Community Centre, and playground equipment at Jurassic Park is open after a refurbishing.

Lots of these projects are being made available thanks to government funding efforts towards municipalities, in an effort to keep money flowing and people working.
