The latest recipients of a Kindersley community grant have been unveiled for 2017.

19 local organizations will be receiving funds as part of the Kindersley Community Initiatives Program (KCIP). The annual program allows organizations and groups to submit an application for funds which would contribute to programming, operations, and other activities.

The program is made possible from funds received by Saskatchewan Lotteries. Some communities put the funds towards municipal programs such as recreation and arts. In Kindersley, council and administration allow local community projects and organizations to apply on a yearly basis.

For the 2017-2018 submission period, $45,154 will be distributed amongst the 19 successful applicants through the KCIP. The adjudication process is administered by a committee in charge of evaluating each application and determining the final allocation of funds.
